On November 29th, the Department of City Planning (DCP) and Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) hosted a public design charrette to reimagine the publicly owned properties surrounding the intersection of Fifth and Dinwiddie. Over 50 attendees spent their morning working together in groups to develop designs consistent with the recently adopted Uptown/West Oakland EcoInnovation District Plan.
At the January open house you can review and comment on those designs and examples from other cities to determine what aspects are best suited for Uptown. Your input will help shape a request for proposals the URA will release for development on this land. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
This is an informal event. Arrival and departure is at your convenience.
This event is in a wheelchair accessible building. Accommodations can be made as needed if requested one week prior to the meeting. Send requests to: Richard.Meritzer@pittsburghpa.gov.
