OPDC has instituted a monthly public meeting to facilitate discussion between developers and community members. All residents are invited to learn more about the planning process and gather in a collective effort to advocate for quality projects.
Agenda:
Carnegie Mellon University - Institutional Master Plan: CMU will present amendments to their Institutional Master Plan and three proposed housing projects:
Renovation of a newly purchased apartment building at Fifth Ave and Neville St
Construction of a new residence hall at Fifth Ave and Clyde St
Demolition of an existing building and new construction at Forbes Ave and Beeler St
Community Benefits Agreements: Learn more about the purpose of community benefits agreements and discuss priorities for future agreements.
Updates and announcements on other proposed projects, community programs, and services.
All current projects can be found on our Design Development Review page along with corresponding meeting minutes, presentations, and feedback summaries. OPDC updates this tracker at least every two weeks, but more frequently as necessary. Click here to access the neighborhood master plan, The Oakland 2025 Master Plan.
