The Pittsburgh Department of City Planning is hosting a workshop on Thursday, June 27, that will focus on the design of buildings and the public realm on Fifth and Forbes Avenues.
The meeting will be an open house format where you can speak with planners and developers. There will be two identical sessions: 10 am-1 pm and 5 pm-8 pm. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
What can you expect?:
Urban Design : Learn about the fundamentals of how buildings and the public realm are designed, and what can be done to make Fifth and Forbes Avenues better for pedestrians.
New Regulations : Learn more about a regulatory tool (Interim Planning Overlay District) the City is considering to improve the design of buildings on the Fifth/ Forbes Corridor.
Current Projects : Developers of current projects on the Fifth/Forbes Corridor have been invited to present their building designs and seek input from attendees during the event.
Oakland Plan : This year, the City of Pittsburgh is starting a planning process with the community to create a 10-year plan for Oakland. Get a preview of this process and how you can be involved.
