Help reduce waste and litter in Oakland! OPDC and the University of Pittsburgh are teaming up for an off-campus Clutter for a Cause event on Tuesday, June 1. Drop your items off at 3401 Boulevard of the Allies (parking lot behind Panera Bread) between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. - donations from non-students are welcome.

Do you have an oversized item? fill out this form in order to have your items picked up from the curb.

Accepted items:

• Textiles – clothing, accessories, shoes, towels, duvet covers, blankets, curtains, bedding *Please bag items in garbage bags or other disposable plastic bags prior to donation.

• Kitchen Items – mini-fridges, microwaves, rice cookers, Keurig or coffee pots and small kitchenware items (plates, cups, utensils, etc.) * Items should be clean, dry and free of food!

• Non-Perishable Food and Hygiene Items – Please do not donate open or expired items!

• Books and Textbooks

• Household Essentials – mirrors, lamps, school organization items like dry erase boards, plastic bins, clothing organizers and laundry baskets, non-upholstered furniture items like tables, desks and chairs.

• Electronics – TVs, computers, computer monitors, printers, keyboards, mice, cables, phones, cameras

Unacceptable items:

Due to health and safety concerns, we are unable to accept the following items: Foam Mattress Toppers, Mattresses, Upholstered Furniture (Futons/Couches), Rugs.
