Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission (SPC) is hosting a virtual public meeting for public comment on the draft 2023-2027 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The TIP identifies the region’s priority roadway, transit, and multimodal transportation improvements programmed for advancement over the next four years, and makes mention of Oakland. Your input is needed.

Included in the TIP is:

• $1 M for preliminary engineering on widening Bates Street. (widening from 2 lanes to 4 lanes from Second Ave to Boulevard of the Allies).

• $13.6 M for design, right of way, engineering and construction to replace the Swinburne Bridge.

• $2.1 M for final design on the Charles Anderson Bridge.
