The City of Pittsburgh's Community Development team will hold four public meetings to to receive comments on community development and housing needs of the City which may be addressed through the use of one of four federal programs.
The programs being discussed are:
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, at least 70% of which must be used to benefit low- and moderate-income City residents
HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), which is used to improve housing options for low-income individuals and families
Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), a program focused on serving unhoused populations
Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA), which addresses housing needs of individuals with HIV/AIDS.
Community input will be used to inform how the City will spend federal funds in the 2023 program year. All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing in person or virtually and make known their views with respect to the needs to be addressed by these programs.
