Let's Talk: Bike and Pedestrian Safety Along Bates Street

  • 294 Semple Street Pittsburgh, PA, 15213 United States (map)

Oakland neighbors have felt unsafe crossing Bates Street for years, at every intersection along its length. Members of two student organizations at Pitt have recently been collaborating to gather data and study the street’s design – and they have ideas to share with the community and City planners. This conversation is especially significant as PennDOT prepares to launch a major widening project on Bates Street below the Boulevard. Join us to meet Pitt Complete Streets and the Urban Planning Club, and bring your concerns and ideas!
