THE BASICS

• Trash rules: Trash in bags. Bags in trash bins. Lids on bins.

• Recycling rules: Recycling gets collected every other week. Glass, paper, aluminum cans, and clean plastic bottles (no takeout containers) go straight into blue recycling bins. Lids on bins. Flatten cardboard, bundle in a box or tie with string. No pizza boxes. As of 2024 the city will no longer collect cardboard boxes left out on non-recycling weeks. See below for accepted materials.
