OPDC addresses housing equity through construction of new affordable apartments

Developing affordable housing has long been the focus of OPDC’s work. Oakland Affordable Living is our most recent development, with 49-units comprised of one-, two-, and three-bedrooms rented to individuals earning less than 60% of area median income (AMI).  We offer six ADA accessible units, two units with hearing and visual aid accessible adaptions, and 25 family-sized units.

Your gift to OPDC creates housing equity for seniors, families, and individuals with disabilities.

Jesus Rodriguez is a single father with mobility restrictions who struggled to find quality affordable housing for himself and his two children. He now resides in a three-bedroom, accessible unit at Oakland Affordable Living. He is conveniently located to his doctors and has more space for his kids.
