OPDC’s annual fundraiser, An Evening of Oakland Storytelling, brings together a diverse mix of residents and community partners in a unique, live storytelling event to celebrate equitable opportunity and development in Oakland.
This year, we are asking the Pittsburgh community to share their true Oakland stories. If you have an experience you’d like to share related to Oakland and inspired by our event theme - views - we want to hear from you! Submit a short paragraph describing your true story for a chance to be selected as one of the evening’s storytellers.
Share a story that...

Is true and about you
Our storytelling program is supported by Kelly Flanagan Dee, producer of The Moth in Pittsburgh. For your story to be considered, please adhere to the The Moth’s do’s and don’ts. The extended deadline to submit a story is May 3, 2019.
