Every year, the University of Pittsburgh’s Office of Community and Governmental Relations hosts a series of neighborhood block parties to bring together students, long-term residents, University officials and police, Pittsburgh Police, elected officials, and community organizations.
This is a great opportunity for University students to connect with their community and learn more about being a good neighbor here in Oakland.
OPDC staff will attend and be available to answer any questions residents may have, as well as distribute resources to students about items, such as city trash and recycling, street cleaning, using 311, and engaging with local Oakland community groups.
