Historic Pittsburgh Fair

The Historic Pittsburgh Fair returns to Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh—Main in Oakland after a three year hiatus to feature local history institutions, speakers and activities including a DIY scavenger hunt, historical tours and more.

The event next month will give patrons the opportunity to reengage with their local library and learn about different organizations working to make historical tools and research collections accessible to everyone.

Patrons will get the chance to visit exhibitors such as Carnegie Mellon University Archives, CLP Music Archives, Lawrenceville Historical Society and The Pittsburgh Queer History Project. The event will also feature a presentation from Rick Sebak on “Curiosities & Weird Questions” about Pittsburgh, and a panel discussion about the accessibility of CLP’s collections.
