OPDC provides all residents an opportunity to voice their input regarding development projects that impact the neighborhood.
In response to a recent surge in project proposals, we are instituting a monthly public meeting to facilitate discussion between developers and community members. With so many projects happening at one time, we recognize the need to organize a monthly agenda that will help residents track the progress of ongoing and upcoming proposals. Through these monthly meetings, residents are invited to gather in a collective effort to advocate for quality projects.
Join us for the first Oakland Design Development Review Meeting on Wednesday, March 27 at 6:00 p.m. in the Oakland Career Center (294 Semple Street) to learn more about two development projects:
3440 Forbes Avenue: A proposed new office high-rise by Wexford Science + Technology
Pittsburgh Playhouse: Application for demolition by Point Park University
Updates and announcements on other proposed projects, community programs, and services
All current projects can be found on our development tracker, along with corresponding meeting minutes and presentations. OPDC updates this tracker at least every two weeks, but more frequently as necessary. Click here to access the neighborhood master plan, The Oakland 2025 Master Plan.
For questions about upcoming meetings or other development projects, please contact Jarrett Crowell at 412.621.7863 ext. 23 or jcrowell@opdc.org.
